Celebrating the new CPD Portfolio
20.01.2012
On 31 January, the University of Wales Trinity Saint David’s Faculty of Education and Training will formally launch its range of flexible Continuing Professional Development courses for people who wish to extend or update their skills.
The launch event on 31 January 2012 will celebrate the new CPD Portfolio and will showcase activity across the Faculty. There will be an opportunity to hear about courses offered, both accredited and non-accredited, to find out about sources of funding and to discuss options with members of staff.
Assistant Dean of the Faculty, Associate Professor Sue Davies says:
“This is the first time that the Faculty’s CPD activity has been collated to reflect the full spectrum of opportunities offered by the academic schools in a bilingual environment.
“We are able to offer opportunities across a range of disciplines and have flexible programmes for education, public sector and community organisations. For individuals, this could mean enhancing career prospects or recognising the requirements of professional bodies.
“For the employer, we understand that a successful organisation with a robust reputation for a quality working environment will attract, recruit and retain excellent employees. We can support workplace values, aims and polices through the provision of CPD programmes that meet the needs of employers and employees.”
The Portfolio aims to further enhance Trinity Saint David’s contribution to CPD and employer engagement, increasing awareness of the range of opportunities that the University can provide.
The launch event takes place on Tuesday, 31 January between 4.30pm-5.30pm in the Reception area and BR 1 of the Carmarthen Campus.
