Lampeter: Library Refurbishment

The Library refurbishment will commence on 23 July 2012.
The refurbishment involves work on a limited budget to resolve existing problems and create a modern library which meets customers’ needs.
What will the work involve?
- Installing new windows
- Working on the heating and ventilation system to improve conditions
- Resolving the damp problem in the stairwell
- Reconfiguring the collection to improve access
- Creating a variety of study spaces to support contemporary methods of working
- Creating a new entrance opposite the Canterbury Building
- Redecorating the Library
As the work is being done in a relatively short space of time it is inevitable that there will be some disruption to normal operations to make sure that work is completed during the quieter summer period and we are open on 23 September.
