Trinity’s long standing relationship with Urdd Gobaith Cymru, the largest youth movement in Europe, is set to burgeon ahead through collaboration in the areas of Outdoor Education and Youth Studies.

The University has sponsored the Urdd’s National Youth Theatre since 2007 but the new agreement will include collaboration in the areas of youth work and outdoor education as well as the University providing training for Urdd staff. “This is a very exciting agreement” said Gwilym Dyfri Jones, who is leading the development at Trinity. “Trinity is renowned as a university that produces graduates who can work as effectively in both Welsh and English and many of them work for the Urdd. It is a natural step for the Urdd to take advantage of Trinity’s expertise in relation to its staff development programme and for the University to take advantage of the Urdd’s experience in working with young people in Wales”.
