Sports Centre

The Sports Centre is open to all Trinity University College, Carmarthen students and staff, and to the general public. Individuals must be over the age of 16 to gain entry to the Fitness Suite.

Parties

The party package aims to take the hassle out of organising a birthday party or any other celebration. A number of activities are offered which give users a chance to have fun under the watchful eye of a supervisor. Sports available include football, netball, basketball, volleyball or a number of racquet sports are available. If required, refreshments can be made available afterwards in the Halliwell Centre to complete the celebration.

Family Days

On selected weekends throughout the year, come along & try your hand at a number of different sports. Fun for all the family. For further information and for when the next scheduled day is contact the Sports Centre reception.

Junior Sports Camps

Junior Sports Camps During the Easter and Summer school holiday periods, the Sports Centre in conjunction with the School of Sport will run sports camps for the local community. The camps invite 5 to 14-year olds to participate in an array of sports, arts and fun activities. The juniors are supervised throughout their sessions by qualified staff, who aim to make the sessions fun and informative. The camps provide the opportunity for the juniors to try a new sport/activity or to improve in a favourite one. Members with Disabilities

The Sports Centre welcomes all users, able bodied and less abled bodied, regardless of ability. All areas and activities at the Centre are fully accessible

Child Care

There is a Creche (Y Gamfa Wen) situated just a few hundred yards away from the Sports Centre. An ideal opportunity to get some training done while the little ones are being looked after. For further information, please contact 01267 676645.

No Smoking

The University has a no smoking policy. The Sports Centre is a no smoking zone.

Valuables

Please do not leave valuables unattended in the changing rooms. Lockers are provided for clothing and small valuables such as mobile phones and wallets. (There is a £1 returnable charge.) All lockers must be emptied at the end of the night. The University cannot be held responsible for the safety of any belongings left in the Centre.

Footwear and Clothing

Customers are required to wear nonmarking, clean and appropriate footwear for the activity they are taking part in. Users are requested nor to wear the same footwear that they have worn outside. Sports Centre staff prevent users from taking part in an activity if they are wearing shoes that could dirty or mark the floor. Customers are advised to wear clothing suitable for the activity.
